There are two kinds of cups we can fill each day: the cup of overwhelming complaint, fatigue and weariness OR the cup of gratitude, choosing to count our blessings as greater than the curses we suffer. We know this. We’ve heard it before. But, did you know these cups are NOT made of the same stuff? One is akin to a flimsy, DISPOSABLE STYROFOAM CUP. The other is more like a GOBLET, made of gold, set with rubies and emeralds.
These are two very different cups; even standing empty it’s easy to tell them apart, to name their virtues and drawbacks. Their potential to fill us up or drain us dry.
