So Much Dust

brown field and blue sky

As far as the east is from the west

is where the sting of memory goes

when we forgive or

are forgiven—in this place

we are quick to find

we were made for expansive,

grace-filled horizons.

This poem appears in my latest book of poems, Longings of the Soul, a poetic response. Available on Amazon.

Here’s to more poetry that helps us find our way.
