woman kissing cute fluffy spotty cat

the life within

thrives on privacy, where and when

we roam an endless domain—

under scrutiny the inner light

shies away

like a woman cuddling with a cat,

dear fierce or gentle nature, we value time

uninterrupted, unproductive,

unexplained—

all that might make up

solitude

This poem on the power of PRIVACY to be ourselves, expand and give expression to the movements of our soul; to draw a on deep well of appreciation and unabashed affection for the simple, sacred things God gives us; to make the most of good gifts.

This features in my BOOK of poems, LONGINGS OF THE SOUL, a poetic response
